What's that 24h cyling thing Right Now bacteria has nothing in common with all those bacteria starter you see on the marcket. You only need to use it once and will get results every time. It will establish on your Earth Pellets and form a large colony within minutes. Beacause Earth Pellets has so much surface area in contact in water, bacteria colony will develop so much that all Nh4 produce by your fish will be consumed. No NH3 peak. For sure, during the first days a test kit will find some NH4 but it will never build up and will never kill a fish!!!! It work every time guarantee! How does this system produce Co2 Just like us, bacteria consume o2 and produce Co2. In a normal filtration system, the amount of bacteria is insufficient to produce enough Co2 for your plants. When using Earth Pellets with Right Now Bacteria, the collony gets so large that enough Co2 is produce to support plants grow. How much Co2 is produce??? This will depend in how much fish is in your tank. Each fish produce wast that will be consume by the bacteria. The more wast fish produce the more Co2 will be produce. It's as easy as that. We recommand medium light (about 2 watt per gallon) to not need to overload your tank to produce enough Co2. Also, Co2 production will be realy stable with this system. How much Earth Pellets is needed? If you want to get the results listed above, you must use proper amount of Earth pellets. We calculate the quantity needed this way: Tank volume (in gallon) X 0.1667 and multiply this result again by 1.2 This is how much pound of Earth Pellets you need. To know if your filter can hold the quantity needed, simply remove everything in it (every thing) and mesure how much liter of water fit in it. Each lb of Earth Pellets needs a volume of about a liter. To give you an idea, a Fluval 305 hold enough Earth Pellets for a 50 gallon tank. For large tank, the Red Torpedo (avalable at Mad Captain's Aquarium store) is the perfect canister!
